About the program

The DB mindbox startup program was initiated in 2015 to push and foster innovations and digital transformation around rails, stations and trains. The program off ers a comprehensive support package to young entrepreneurs who have a concrete improvement for Deutsche Bahn (DB). The aim is that startups and DB business units work closely together and develop a Proof of Concept (PoC) which improves the core rail business.

Startups will get the opportunity to develop a prototype and/or test their product live in the DB universe within 100 days. On top, startups will receive €25.000 funding (no equity), exclusive access to DB experts, data & markets, professional business coaching & mentoring and Coworking. After a benefi cial collaboration, there is a high chance to build a long-term partnership with Deutsche Bahn.
